📣Calling All Artists! Our 5th Annual Chalkfest registration is open.
What is Chalkfest? The La Crescent-Hokah High School / Middle School campus has large sidewalks running around the perimeter, where registered artists of all ages and abilities can create elaborate, large-scale chalk artwork.
Chalkfest is held on Saturday, September 17th. Artists can check in starting at 6:45am. Judging is at 4:00pm and Winners of the various categories will be announced around 4:30pm.

Attention Parents & Guardians: the back-to-school registration will not be open until mid-late August. Communication will be sent out when the registration becomes available in the Infinite Campus parent portal. If you try to register now, the application will be denied as the only open registration is for new students.

Football Camp registration is still open! In this camp, kids will learn the basics of football with the new head football coach Terry Donavan and the varsity Lancer Football team. Kids will practice skills and play a variety of games and activities - all while having fun!🏈

Qualifying for Educational Benefits not only provides free meals to students, but also provides 5-12 students with a district-issued Chromebook and insurance on the device, discounted athletic/activity fees, family passes for athletic events, and discounts on a variety of Community Ed offerings, and more! All families are encouraged to complete the application as the information helps determine additional funding for enhanced educational opportunities for our schools.
NOTICE OF FILING DATES FOR ELECTION TO THE SCHOOL BOARD INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 300
LA CRESCENT, STATE OF MINNESOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the period for filing affidavits of candidacy for the office of school board member of Independent School District No. 300 shall begin on August 2, 2022, and shall close at 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 16, 2022.
The general election shall be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. At that election, 3 members will be elected to the School Board for terms of four (4) years each.
Affidavits of Candidacy are available from the school district clerk, 703 S 11th St, La Crescent, MN 55947. The filing fee for this office is $2. A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from which the candidate seeks election for thirty (30) days before the general election, and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same primary or next ensuing general election.
The affidavits of candidacy must be filed in the office of the school district clerk and the filing fee paid prior to 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 16, 2022.

Newly appointed Board member, Nicole Miller, participated in a ceremonial Oath of Office as she officially started her service on the Board this week. Chair Eric Morken administered the oath below.

Due to the forecast, ISD 300 will be moving the graduation ceremony indoors this afternoon starting at 2:00 pm. It will be in the auditorium. Graduates should assemble at 1:15 in the middle school gym. Guests are reminded that this is a ticketed event and each graduate has been given 6 tickets to distribute. The auditorium will be at capacity. We will be live streaming the event on the La Crescent Hokah School District facebook page. Auditorium doors will open at 1:15. We look forward to celebrating the class of 2022. Thank you!
