Funding provided for free meals during the pandemic has ended. The La Crescent-Hokah School District will no longer be able to serve meals to all students, regardless of eligibility, for free in the
2022-2023 school year.
Educational Benefit Applications are now available on our website and in the parent portal!
Qualifying for Educational Benefits not only provides free meals to students, but also provides 5-12 students with a district-issued Chromebook and insurance on the device, discounted athletic/activity fees, family passes for athletic events, and discounts on a variety of Community Ed offerings, and more!
All families are encouraged to complete the application as the information helps determine additional funding for enhanced educational opportunities for our schools.

Newly appointed Board member, Nicole Miller, participated in a ceremonial Oath of Office as she officially started her service on the Board this week. Chair Eric Morken administered the oath below.

Due to the forecast, ISD 300 will be moving the graduation ceremony indoors this afternoon starting at 2:00 pm. It will be in the auditorium. Graduates should assemble at 1:15 in the middle school gym. Guests are reminded that this is a ticketed event and each graduate has been given 6 tickets to distribute. The auditorium will be at capacity. We will be live streaming the event on the La Crescent Hokah School District facebook page. Auditorium doors will open at 1:15. We look forward to celebrating the class of 2022. Thank you!

The La Crescent-Hokah Board of Education Regular May meeting is canceled due to not having a quorum. There will be a special meeting held the following week. Please see the separate notice once posted.

Due to a district wide network outage that has impacted all of our systems, including communications, HVAC and other necessary systems La Crescent Hokah Public Schools will be dismissing at 12:50 at the elementary school and 1:00 at the Secondary School. Activities will continue but Kids Co will be closing.

The last two weeks, the students at the secondary school had a food drive to collect items for our local food shelf. The drive was hosted by the Student Council groups and Community Leadership class.
810 lbs was donated total - 686 lbs of food and 124 pounds of toiletries and paper products.
Mr. Braun and Mr. Smith had the privilege of judging the Chopped Cooking Contest in Mrs. Traxler's class. A few of their comments were "exceptional skills!" and "great recipes."
