Welcome, Mrs. Hansen!
La Crescent-Hokah Public Schools welcomes Mrs. Hansen, but you can call her Dani. She is joining the lancer community as a Paraprofessional in the Special Education classroom at the Secondary School. Dani went to Western Technical College, where she studied in the Foundations of Teacher Education program and graduated in April of 2018. You can follow a link to see all the great work while attending TC, https://danisorenson.weebly.com. On her website, you may have noticed that her last name is different because she just got married in October. Besides living at home with her husband, she also lives with her three dogs and cat. She has a German Shorthair Pointer named Moose, a Beagle named Easton, and a Redbone Coonhound named Stella, and her cat's name is Beau. Dani’s favorite quote is, “Life is not measured by how many breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.” What motivates Dani to do what she does for our school is that she loves working with kids and putting smiles on their faces. She contributes personal experience to the staff and students she works with because she survived a rare illness where she had to relearn how to walk, talk, eat, and many other daily life skills that her students struggle with every day. Please say “Hi’ if you see her in the hallways, she is looking forward to meeting you all!
