Welcome, Mr. Carlson!
Dale Carlson is joining the Lancer school community as Interim Superintendent through the end of the 2021-2022 school year. Dale comes to us with 36 years of experience in public education, having served as a High School Math Teacher, Coach, Assistant Principal, Principal and Superintendent in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Dale earned a BA from Augustana University, an MS from Winona State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dale’s wife, Sharon, is a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in the La Crosse School District. Together, they have two sons who are in graduate school.
Outside of the office, Dale enjoys spending time with his family, attending school and community events, volunteering, riding his Harley Trike, and working on endless improvement projects around the house.
Dale is passionate about providing all children with a high-quality education. He believes public education is the most important profession as teachers and support staff have the opportunity and responsibility to change the lives of students every day.
“The most valuable investment we can make is in our children’s education. When we make education a priority, we give our children opportunity.” Martin O’Malley
