Welcome, Mrs. Byom!
Meet Sarah Byom! She has joined the preschool team as a para for the Early Discovery class. Sarah has had over 20 years of experience in working with children. She has volunteered in classrooms, led Girl Scout troops, taught preschool classes with the Y, worked in an early childhood center for many years, ran her own daycare, and taught Sunday school classes. She is also an active foster parent and respite care provider.
Sarah resides in LaCrescent with her husband, Michael, and 5 of their 7 children. Their oldest is a college graduate set to be married next fall. They have a sophomore in college, a senior in high school, and 4 kiddos in the LaCrescent Hokah Elementary School. As a family, the Byoms love to travel, play board games, go camping, and have family dinners with the whole crew. Sarah enjoys reading, hiking, theatre and loves watching her kids do what they love (soccer, musicals, swimming, gymnastics, martial arts, etc).
Sarah is inspired and motivated by her love for children. She is a firm believer that all children deserve to be loved, feel safe and that every child should be given a positive space to learn, grow, and be themselves. She is very excited to work with the kids in the LaCrescent Hokah School District and hopes they can learn as much from her as she can from them!
