My name is Kimberly Nightengale and I am the new Business Education teacher. I graduated from DeVry University with a Bachelor’s in Technical Management in 2018, followed by my Masters of Business Administration with a specialization in data analytics from Saint Mary’s University in 2021. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Public Policy and Administration.
My husband and I have two beautiful girls, 7 years old and 4 months old. My family and I moved to Minnesota in 2019 where we lived in Winona until we bought our home in La Crescent in 2021. Prior to that we lived in Kansas where I worked in education for 6 years. During those 6 years I spent time as a Special Education paraprofessional, a Title One Paraprofessional, and a substitute teacher.
I’ve spent the last 3 years working at Merchants Bank as a Customer Engagement Center Specialist (previously known as Electronic Banking). During my time at Merchants I was able to gain hands-on experience in the financial world as well as utilize my experience in education by being a trainer for new hires on my team.
My family motivates me to be the best that I can as well as doing what I can to have a positive impact in society. I am inspired by my own journey with education. My goal is to motivate and encourage students to be the best they can be!
