This is DarylAnn Webb, and she’s a first grade teacher this year! She taught for one year in Burnsville and is now starting her second year at La Crescent-Hokah Elementary. DarylAnn lives in town with her boyfriend, Jake. DarylAnn is originally from Wadena, MN which is about 5 hours north west of here in central Minnesota. DarylAnn grew up in the country and is still a country girl at heart. DarylAnn worked as a special education paraprofessional for three years in Two Harbors, MN and that’s when she decided she wanted to go back to school for Education. DarylAnn completed her Bachelor’s degree at the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, MN. DarylAnn is currently getting her Masters degree in Literacy with a K-12 Reading Endorsement and taking LETRS training through the district. DarylAnn also works at ABLE during the summer and on weekends when she can. She loves to help people, and this is something that has always been a part of her. Growing up DarylAnn was involved in Girl Scouts (she holds the highest rank), Pathfinders, LEO Club (Little LIONS), 4-H and any volunteering opportunities she could be involved with. She attributes her love for volunteering to her passion for helping students at school. She doesn’t really feel like it's work, but instead something that she looks forward to doing every day. DarylAnn is excited to be a Lancer this year!
