Welcome, Abigail Keenan!
Abigail Keenan is joining the Lancer family as the new health teacher for our middle and high school. She will help students navigate the ups and downs of their past, present, and future life experiences. Ms. Keenan grew up in Winona, Minnesota, and graduated from Winona Senior High School. After graduation, she moved to Wisconsin to continue her education at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. She graduated with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in physical education. Her four years at Eau Claire consisted of classes covering Physical Education, Health Education, and Adaptive PE. Ms. Keenan graduated magna cum laude and landed on the dean's list many times. She is passionate about physical health as well as mental and emotional well-being. Ms. Keenan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, and relaxing at home outside of work. She loves cheesy positive sayings, and you will see that reflected in her clothes sometimes! She is inspired by her previous educators as well as her future students. She recently fell in love with variations of the saying, "We can do hard things" - Glennon Doyle. Ms. Keenan is excited to be a supporter of the La Crescent-Hokah community. She hopes to encourage students during the school day and after school through involvement in clubs and athletics. Ms. Keenan can hardly wait for the school year to begin!
